I think it would be a nice idea to have a Dieting (and/or) Workout diary/chat thread! I've always found sharing my day-to-day experiences, good days and bad, will a community has helped me so much and I think it would really help others too.
Here you can post how your day went, your falls and successes, and give support to others trying to achieve a healthy lifestyle! (This thread is meant to be very positive, so please only leave critique when asked!)

Well, I've been slack for the last couple of months and by slack I mean.. no working out and scoffing down a packet of biscuits almost every night.
I feel a bit.. weird sharing my measurements on here for everyone to see but I figure it'll motivate me to work on getting everything down besides I've already come a long way - I've lost 45lb over the last three years! Weight: 141 lb Bust: 91 Waist: 74 Hips: 91
I recognised that bad habit earlier this week and decided that has to stop. I haven't lost any weight in these months, but I've maybe gained a couple of pounds which is certainly not the direction I want to go in.
I still haven't gotten around to working out again due to being sick BUT I cooked myself the most delicious, healthy dinner tonight -- honey glazed chicken breast with thinly sliced lemon on top with a side of couscous and salad. SO. GOOD.
Now I'm on the hunt for easy, healthy meals that don't require crazy ingredients like the hair of a unicorn and things like that.

Today I'm trying to finally get down to eating right. My problem is it's hard for me to buy expensive health food since I keep overspending on lolita clothing, haha. It's such an addiction! I'm off to buy groceries for the week, I'm going to try to buy as healthy as I can. I've kind of slacked off as far as exercising goes, I need to work on that. I used to run all the time! Right now I'm in a bit of a work transition, but after all that is said and done on September 1st, I'm going to try to run 5 miles three times a week like I used to! Well, I've been slack for the last couple of months and by slack I mean.. no working out and scoffing down a packet of biscuits almost every night. Wow, 45lb! That's amazing! I know I've been slacking a lot too, my sweet tooth gets the best of me. That sounds like an amazing dinner though, I might have to try that!

I've been trying to eat better too, it's tough. I have a huge addiction to eating out, and it's something I definitely fall back on when I'm working, since I don't want to cook much when I get home. I'm kind of just taking a break from cooking fancy things and just eating simpler things, they end up being cheaper anyways. I used to run too! I've done a few half marathons, and one full, but they were more for fun than anything else. I need to get back into running seriously. When do you find the time to run? Are you a morning person or an evening person?

I still want to try, eventually. I run in the morning usually, I like it a bit better. I find it very difficult to run after a long day at work, but if I run before work I find I feel really full of energy and ready for work, haha.

I'm working on losing weight. I lost a bunch last year and was almost to my goal weight when I lost focus and started eating out a lot. That's my killer - fast food and restaurants. I budgeted it out and I'll save $400 a MONTH if I cut my eating out habit completely... that's a lot of money to me! I also used to have a problem with sweet drinks. Not like soda or anything, but juice and sweetened tea. I'm on week 3 of being completely without any sweet drinks. Height: 5'1" SW: 165lb GW: 130lb UGW: 110lb BWH: 38-31-45 I've been running at the gym every other night. I can only run for about 15 minutes (with short walking breaks in between, no more than 2 minutes) right now, but I powerwalk an additional 15 minutes. I know I can do this, I've lost the weight before, I just need to get back on track!

You should definitely try! I did run/walk for my halfs, and ended up walking my marathon (since I had an IT band issue). If you're not too into getting really fast speeds, then you should definitely complete it without too much effort. I wish I had the discipline to get up before work and run, but I'm not really a morning person... That's my killer too. Shortly after I got into running, I picked up a bad habit of eating out for both breakfast and lunch. Expensive to say the least, and I was eating at pricier places - where I would spend like $10/day on breakfast alone. Fortunately I didn't pick up much weight but I definitely stopped losing. The bill was staggering to say the least. I've been pretty good lately about not eating out since I've had a few weeks off of work. I've found it's easier on myself if I don't worry about cooking elaborate meals and just eat simply.
