Post your inspiration here! What dresses motivate you to try to lose those last few inches? Does Misako have your goal body? Maybe you're even looking to gain weight in order to "fill out" your burando. Whatever it is, share it.

I dunno about inspiration, but I noticed that my Rose Dress Up JSK started tearing at the seams because although I'm within the measurements, apparently this type of fabric is too delicate to be worn tightly at all. )':
So now I need to repair it which will make it lose probably two inches, and refuse to go near it with a ten foot pole until I drop some weight!!
Plus there's a sailor JSK with an unshirred 92cm bust sitting in my closet, begging to be worn.

I'd just like to fit into some partial shirring. It's really frustrating because I'm close to my goal weight, I look pretty good at the moment and I'm fairly happy. I've only have a small amount of weight to lose. But I've got this wide ribcage and last bit of apple-shaped gut I'm trying to get rid of. I've also got a larger cup size, so the waistline always rides up to my ribcage. It's so utterly frustrating. I think I'll forever regulated to shirring. I envy more lithe figures with tiny frames and torsos that don't put on muscle so fast. My arms look huge from the last bit of flab and all the muscle from lifting at work.

Bit of a sob story, but here it goes. In the past 4-5 years I have struggled with my weight, mostly due to stress and the wrong medications. My mother died 5 years ago that plunged me into emotional eating, tried several anti-depressants and anti-anxiety meds, but they made me gain more weight and some of them didn't even help. Last year I got the news my dad has incurable cancer, he has 6 to 10 years to live if lucky, and I have become his full time carer and moved in again, which again brought stress and emotional problems, and weight gain *sigh* I yoyo'd a lot, gain weight, lose weight, etc but now I feel it's getting in the right direction thanks to Wellbutrin which has stopped my bad eating, and helps me stick to a healthy eating plan. I love going on the treadmill and watch dvd at the same time, my new healthy eating plan is working out and I have already lost 5lbs. My ultimate goal is to fit into brand better than I do right now.

I never remember to account for ease of movement when I'm shopping, so I have so many pieces that are just a few centimeters too tight. Oh wow, good luck with your dad and good luck with your weight loss goals. You sound like a really strong person.

Oh god, I feel you. I have a large frame in general, and weight loss won't help enough, and I have an eternal buddha belly. My dream right now, though, is to be absolutely sure I can fit into VM. Right now, the measurements seem do-able, but pushing it a little bit, though I guess what weight-loss can't do for you, body shapers can.

I think the only thing I will be able to fit into from VM is their rare shirred pieces. I roughly lose 1" for every 7lbs lost. So with my weight loss goals of another 20lbs, that puts me at a 94 cm bust and 76cm waist. So I technically would fit into things well, but they never account for big boobies. It's so frustrating.

Huh, I always seem to forget to take breasts into account when looking for things. It's dumb because I always have problems with it whenever I go shopping for normal clothes. Oh well, I know you can do it! I believe in you
