Making an introduction thread because the forum looked empty. :<
I've been wearing Lolita for a little more than a year. I particularly like sweet and classic, or a more modge-podge between the both. But I also love general sweet, deco or ott, and a bit of gothic as well. My favorite brands are AP, IW and Meta.
Outside of Lolita, I enjoy webdesign, drawing (usually digital but I do some traditional), a bit of cosplay and some crafting, videogames (mostly jrpgs) and being a general all-around dorkface. I work as a retail mananger. It's not my dream job but it pays for the brand so... I'm also married and I'm from Ohio, the land of corn and Cedar Point. Woo.

Nice to meet you! How long have you been into web design? I used to be into it quite a while ago, before CSS and flash. Do you have a personal website?
What kind of crafts are you into?

I've been into it since 1997, though I don't really count those days since I made a lot of my stuff on AOL's old homepage builder. I really got into it in 1999. I do have a personal site, but I've not had time to do much updating with it and I'm trying to move hosts right now. It's valkyrie.nu As for crafting, I make jewelry, more cutesy stuff but I make some fancier things (bracelets, necklaces, etc). I make bows and hair accessories too.

Oh wow, that is a while. I had been into it around that same time, I was taking an HTML class at my middle school, and for a while there I dabbled in designing my own web pages, then other hobbies took over. Now I feel like things have gotten so complicated I would have a tough time getting back into it.
I also do a lot of that kind of crafting. There's so much cute stuff that brands put out, but I have such a hard time justifying spending that kind of money when I could make something similar for a fraction of the cost. Do you have a shop, or do you just make things for personal use?

It's a little more complicated now, but it's not too bad. The HTML is a lot simpler and the CSS is a lot more complex. Not to mention using a lot more scripting languages. I mostly use php and ajax (but I still haven't managed to learn how to code much in it ). I still like to make pages for fun, but I admittedly don't have as much time for it anymore. I have the same reasoning! But I only buy brand accessories for the collectibility, or wanting to complete a set I'm particularly fond of. I do have a shop, but I haven't gotten around to putting my jewelry up yet as they mostly end up going to artist alley and my shop is mostly for my tights and things I do in bulk (acrylic charms) that don't sell quite as quickly online.

AOL Press and I think they had something called Hot Dog. I used that too. I made all my graphics in MS paint. XD I wish I had screencaps of it, but I only have them from later websites when I moved off AOL and went to gurlpages and geocities. I'm a big fan of the Xeno-series game (xenogears, xenosaga, xenoblade), Final Fantasies, Tales of, and the Zelda games!
